By partnering with community food pantries, Avery’s Pawsitive Change provides free pet food to help keep family pets safe and fed at home, reducing the risk of their abandonment or placement in overcrowded shelters.

Avery’s Pawsitive Change is a 501(c) (3) non-profit, (EIN# 93-4198471) organization that began as a facebook page created by teenager, Avery Sontheimer. Having been diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma cancer, Avery balanced the demands of her treatment with her passion for helping animals. Her efforts have been rewarded with generous contributions to 4000 nation wide animal rescues, community pet food drives and a “Hero to Animals” award from PETA.

Avery was presented with her own Mobile Pet Food Pantry from the “Make a Wish Foundation”, allowing her to deliver food to shelters, pantries and other donation locations in her community.
